iskcon new talavan is a hare krsna farm community in the rural gulf coast area of southern mississippi. new talavan is one of the original centers of the international society for krsna consciousness, a branch of gaudiya vaisnavism established by his divine grace a.c. bhaktivedanta swami prabhupada. srila prabhupada visited new talavan in 1975, making it a transcendental place of pilgrimage for all devotees. new talavan presently is over 1,200 acres in size, home to about 25 devotees and over 150 cows. we raise a variety of vegetables in a 3-acre organic garden, plus hay, wheat and pasture for our cows.
