Go check out Manistique River, it is busy fishing but is a great fishery and has fish almost year round, if you like free flowing rivers the Carp or Chocolay River are good options, all these rivers I mentioned hold steelhead and salmon I think Manistique may be more up your alley if you like fishing piers and marinas
