I am running the 8015 in preamp mode using 2 external ATI52xx class D amps sounds much better than the internal amps More detailed, refined, and yes better bass Anthem AVM 90 - 5 2 4, ATI52Xnc all channels, B W Nautilus 805s, B W HTM-2, B W SCMS, SVS Prime Elevations, Sony 85XBR950H, Dual Paradigm Servo 15s
- Need help deciding Marantz 8012 or 8015 - AVS Forum
With all the HDMI issues with the new 8015 I’m leaning towards the 8012 95% of my use is home theater and My viewing source is my Sony AE1 Oled So I’m seeking input from you guys who’s had the 8012 and went to the 8015 is there any reason I should get the 8015 over the 8012? I upgraded to a Marantz SR-8015 from a Denon X7200WA My speaker setup has not changed in years the only component that changed is my receiver I am running a 9 2 4 with two center speakers Since the upgrade my two subwoofers are not working unless I watch an atmos movie then they work just fine

Marantz needs the sucessor of 8015 to have at least three 40 Gbps HDMI ports (2 1) It will be hard to sell the 8015 one more year with only the 3 input 2 1 HDMI box as an option I guess that we will get an anouncement during June that new top AVRs will come during the autumn

I really respect all the great work you're doing on the forum and all the very advice you're providing, but in this case i don't understand why the 8015 has a specific thread, hence almost no traffic The Denon counterpart 6700 is in the same thread as other models, and i believe the 8015 thread should be merged with the 5015-6015-7015

When comparing the new 7015 to the 8015, the 8015 has more power, channels, all that stuff, but it also has a toroidal transformer which the 7015 doesn’t I know that people say that toroidal is better, but I don’t have much experience comparing them Is the toroidal transformer worth the extra

The 8015 measured better as a preamp than the 8012 Also according to some that have heard both, the 8015 sounds even better than the already dynamic sounding 8012 Don’t know what great deals you’re seeing the 8012’s for, but I’m still seeing $2499 new
