AMD utility cleanup screwed me I was planning a clean uninstall of my drivers and because of that, I used the AMD cleanup software After I pressed “ok” to restart, my Home Screen came up extremely zoomed in and it seems frozen The mouse nor keyboards are registering I finally managed to get into my bios and it’s not picking up my GPU

I have always used AMD Cleanup Utility when performing a switch to any previous drivers, as opposed to updating the driver which just writes new features on top

I cannot stress this enough, when using AMD drivers do not use DDU! It is recommended you run the standalone AMD Cleanup Utility which will wipe all remnants of the old driver, once you have done that you can install the new drivers for the XTX, while the driver version is the same it’s not the exact same as there are features enabled on the

I used the AMD Cleanup Utility to remove old GPU drivers before installing the new ones today I also blocked Windows Update so it wouldn’t auto-install stuff But now it looks like all my drivers might be gone A few questions: Should I reinstall my chipset drivers using AMD Adrenalin, or should I download them from MSI’s website instead?

AMD has offered the Cleanup Utility that does a more effective job than DDU for years (contrary to your claims), DDU own developer advises against the use of DDU unless you encounter problems
