They cannot track how long that you spend on a question but they can make assumptions because Brightspace tracks when it autosaves an entry and whether you flip back and forth between pages Whether it can track what question you're on I'm not sure But if you search bright space event log on YouTube you can see what your professor can see

Brightspace is awful - the rubric takes a long time to save If you don't click just right, it will not keep your setting but shows that you have selected it The worst LMS I've used - and I've used BB, Canvas, eCollege, and some home grown ones

Brightspace, the LMS our uni adopted to replace Sakai, seems to have been designed for the benefit of cell phone users The page layout on my 17 3 inch laptop allows me to see very little of the actual content, with ca one third of the screen taken up by largely empty headers

I have significant experience using and supporting D2L (often branded as Brightspace) as both an adjunct instructor and as an instructional designer I also have a fair bit of experience with Canvas, a small bit of experience with Moodle, but only a passing familiarity with Blackboard, other than hearing that most instructors dislike it

I don’t think Brightspace can track it However, it’s a good idea to write it on a google doc or word document In case something happens and Brightspace crashes or your internet cuts out My professors actually recommend we do this copy and paste our responses after so we have a saved version that could be emailed in case something happens
