That option, extrude from face is not readily apparent in my Autodesk professional Inventor 2017 I've often found myself sketching on a primary plane and offsetting from a sketch in SW and would like to do so again with Inventor I hope to work it out then mirror the new feature across the middle primary plane

there is an angle manipulator in Extrude, but it is for setting the draft angle on the Extrude It's not really for Extruding at an angle For that, you need Sweep - define another sketch with a line at the angle you want, then use Sweep to create that angled "extrusion" Here is the draft angle manipulator: Jeff Strater (Fusion development)

I would rather use a single wall, place V-shaped reveals, create parts from the wall, and split parts where the reveals are there you have more control over material options for different panels (parts) without messing up with split face and paint

There are approaches with "split face", but this only projects in parallel, so that it's not possible to really wrap the letters around It's not about putting the text along the length of the cylinder, but around the circle of the cylinder, e g around a cup

Click redefine, click the face you want the plane to be referenced to (origin is probably best in this case) type your dimension That should fix the plane If the other features are still broken you'll need to go through them one by one and fix them Seriously though, this will take 5 minutes in sheet metal environment and is less likely to break
