The Nodaway County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has existed since the early 1900s It was founded on Oct 5, 1912, by 27 women from around the county, as well as multiple transfer members from the St Joseph chapter The women worked to preserve the county's history and serve their community in many ways By 1918, the chapter had grown to an astonishing 67 members
