Nusenda is a moderately sized Credit Union based out of New Mexico with about 35 locations locally They don't recruit members from out of the area, but they do allow out of area applicants However you can't just apply for their credit card, you must also become a member of the credit union, and there can be hoops to jump through to accomplish it

I'm from Albuquerque, and started with NUSENDA last September Opened up a $500 secured card right away, and have used it and paid off in full every month since Hopefully in September when it's been a year they will graduate me to the better unsecured

So I just opened a new account with Nusenda to get those rotating 5% cats Gonna like paying my son's tuition this fall with it Just wish it could be a higher spending threshold Anyway, the account is so new, I haven't even received the card yet, but they're already reporting it to the bureaus today 🤷🙄

I've read some forums about people applying but want to get some specifics on HP's when appling for memebership And the best way to join apply for cards I cant take two HP's one for membership and one for the actual app

@wired765 I applied for membership with the NM Wilderness Alliance first, then Nusenda CU, then the credit card You should be able to apply for CU membership and the CC at the same time to combine hard pulls - might be best to do that with the banker over the phone, but email the same banker your proof of membership with the qualifying local
