For reference, Quillbot is (as I understand it) an AI-based browser tool that has a variety of uses, including a Paraphraser, a Grammar Checker, a Plagiarism Checker, Quillbot Flow (not sure what that is), a Summarizer, a Citation Generator, and a Translator

Surprisingly, even though I wrote the entire thing and polished it with Quillbot, I was stunned to see that I had a 77-91% AI-detection three different times I'm very practically experienced in the unit I was doing (very rare for anyone in my class course) so I was confident enough on my material, but still the results were shocking

I used quillbot for a paraphrase and turnitin marked the generated text as "student paper" which means that another student actually has generated the same text as me Which means that if someone else wants the same paragraph to be paraphrased by quillbot, turnitin will mark your text as student paper, because it think that you stole the text

For Grammarly and Quillbot specifically, it may be true, but in general there have been "plagiarism checkers" in the past that have taken submitted work and shoved it to essay mills, etc You should NOT be submitting your work to 3rd party services - it's your work, keep it to yourself

Through its word choice, Quillbot makes materials simple for me to understand Although I'm not sure if the premium version is worthwhile, I've found the free version to be quite helpful I like Quillbot better than Grammarly

In my experience QuillBot is used mainly to (try and) defeat Turnitin when they copy someone else’s work It does sometimes work, but the resulting unreadable mess means they just fail anyway I’m all for using tools, but you need to learn the basics first In the vast majority of cases, it’s basically cheating
