Got a '06 GSX SDI a '04 600 carb and the SDI sled has 5-8 mph more top end than the carb sled Don't know if the rear skids are making a difference on top speed ( 3 vs 4 ) but the SDI is 50% better on fuel and oil The SDI sled is my first fuelie sled so we'll see but if it's dependable then the carb sled will be replaced buy a fuelie

The SDI does have a small battery, the carb does not unless you get electric start As for horsepower and torque, I believe they are very, very close with the carbed being slightly higher However, when one looks at a dyno for the 800 H O carbed and SDI, the SDI has much more torque through the bottom and midrange than the carbed

Same engine as the semi-direct injection(SDI) but it is direct injected The Etec name I believe comes from the Evinrude outboard motor that BRP makes It sounded good and ran very good Starts first pull Supposed to get 21-25 mpg and get 1100 miles from a gallon of oil The SDI's get 17-20 mpg and get about 600 miles out of a gallon of oil

600SDI vs HO SDI is hands down winner 2 pull starting on the SDI, no need to change jetting based on temp, no carbs to clean and it gets better milage I don't get the carb HO even being offered, much like in the AC's not sure why anyone buys one that's not injected Harder call is 600sdi vs the 500ss

Im looking at a few 2007 mxz blizzards some are the 600sdi and a few are the 800pteks Ive always had 800's but im looking for reliablity and something that will last to 5 6000 miles problem free Some say the 800 was changed on 07 and is reliable but then i read that they are junk Im thinking the 600 sdi is the route to go?

Everything worked fine before I started working on the chaincase and rear skid!! I have a 2005 mxz rev 600 sdi after pulling the rear suspension out and going through everything I decided to put new bearings and seals in the chaincase as well After everything was all back together decided to

Please let me know if the throttle position sensor solved the problem with your check engine light I have an '06 600 SDI with 6000 miles and it started doing exactly what you described! The only difference is that mine will only throw the CEL and become problematic when riding in heavy, falling snow or in deep powder
