If I recall correctly, Zev and Xev are not quite identical Xev is made from Zev's protein mixed slightly with that of Moss and arranged in accordance with how Lyekka understood Zev to be like based on what Stan said about her So I think it makes sense that Lyekka wouldn't have got the personality quite right - certainly she didn't get them to look alike
