- Your opinions on these aftermarket double hump aluminum heads
Chevy SBC Assembled Aluminum Camel Double Hump 461 Cylinder Head (speedwaymotors com) I had to wait almost three months last year to get my factory heads done, and it was not cheap What do you think of these heads that will give a somewhat factory appearance?
- Trick Flow vs. Camel Hump Heads - Team Camaro Tech
Trick Flow: Aluminum, Angled plugs, plain machined front with accessory holes Camel Hump: Iron, straight plugs, cast finish on front often have no accessory holes and of course have the double hump cast into them In addition, you can pull the valve covers and get the casting number off the head

- flow numbers for gm 461 camel hump heads - Team Camaro Tech
The actual CFM flow numbers would depend on if any work was done to the heads, and the quality of the valve job I did read one test on flow #'s for a 461 (stock, untouched), the #'s were as follows: 050" 1-38 9, E-20 9

Looks like they are making then in the late camel hump 1968 style similar to the small block head with casting number 3917291 with the temperature sender on the side the other style is 1969 1970 style double hump symbol marking like a casting number 3927186 head it's cool I suppose originals are still really cheap out here

Ok, So I am building a 327 Now it is a done short block with dome pistons Was going to use original camel heads at 64 CC With a 028 head gasket that would give me about 10 7 This is where I want to be Now I think I want the trick flow heads and they are 60cc So I will need a head gasket of 051 to get my compression where I want to be
- Replacing Camel Hump heads IE180 or IK180?? - Team Camaro Tech
Note that the cc for these heads is 72, so more than your original heads so they may not work for you, but my real point is that don't overlook the Summit "house brand" heads since they're not manufactured BY Summit, but FOR Summit by various manufacturers As another example, the Summit SUM-162109 aluminum heads are manufactured by Trick Flow
- Technical Best Performing Traditional head for a 283 build
End result is better on a small engine than a Camel Hump head smaller combustion chamber, smaller original valve bowl allows nice porting to match the size of the 283 where the Camel Hump is already too big stock Casting identifier on the end of head is a laid down rectangle with a upward triangle peak on the center top surface of rectangle
- 1969, 186 Camel Hump head question - Team Camaro Tech
That company is Trick Flow, Many machine shops now are willing to weld up accessory holes on aluminum heads and machine the ends of the heads in a five axis CNC machine to look like early 1957-'67 Fuelie heads These are AFR heads that have been machined to look like 1968-'72 fuelie heads:
