My Computer shows a G drive in Vista - Microsoft Community Are you saying it shows up in Windows Explorer as a drive with no space but does NOT show up at all in Disk Management (even as unallocated space or anything else)? That is truly unusual - it is usually the other way around Right click on Q drive and click on properties and then security
External Hard Drive Recognized but not working - Microsoft Community Only to then find out that windows is not assigning it to a drive letter It shows up in device manager, however under disk manager it shows Disk 1 (the external) as a basic, 298 09GB, Online and the only thing it says in the partition window is '298 09 GB' and is blue (the color of Primary Paritions)
