Was thinking of using white Hammerite, seems to be a tried and tested brand Notice that very little prep is required and no undercoat, no priming of existing rust Seems to good to be true - surely ? There are now loads of tiny pinprick of rust showing through the paint on the RSJ I'd intended on using a wire cup flap disc to remove or at least smooth out the crappy looking white intumescent paint then priming again, then more intumescent paint then coloured topcoat With the rust I'm wondering if I need a different approach here?
