I called my dealer and there was a list of over 100 cars that Toyota was going to paint It took 17 months of waiting ( yes, 17!) but I finally got the car back and they did a nice job When I first called, I was promised a loaner while the car was being painted We are talking 4-5 weeks for this process

Well I don't own a new Camry, but have had multiple Toyota hybrid cars and a Rav4 hybrid currently and live in upstate NY where they cover the roads with salt My wife and I always wash the vehicles though out the winter at drive though car washes that do the under carriage wash and never had a problem

I don't like the system much, I've had manual parking brake cars for decades and yes they have had problems with frozen cables but it's easily fixed and makes servicing the rear brakes much simpler

Cars are listed on dealer websites that they really don't have as a means of (I'm told anyway) trying to "bulk up" the apparent inventory Maybe some of that is going away now that we've emerged from the pandemic and the dearth of inventory
