At Sober College, we are a California-based, CCAPP-approved education provider and with our program, we can help you complete your 315 hours of addiction counselor education as well as your practicum experiences, which are internships where you gain clinical experience in all of the 12 Core Functions of Addiction Counseling

Requirements to apply: you would need a Bachelor's degree in behavioral health science or allied mental health with 315 hours of AOD core education and 4,000 fieldwork experience hours

Upon completion of the course, for a total of 336 hours, the student will receive a Graduation Diploma Upon request the course catalog can be mailed or picked up at the CCAPP office Available for the general public or potential students * We enroll new students every 8 weeks

The applicant must provide documentation of at minimum 1 year (2000 hours) of verifiable experience within the specialty the applicant is applying for in addition to the required education or 6 months of clinical supervision mentorship or 1 year of working with families and addiction

In addition, you are required to begin a CCAPP-approved alcohol and drug education program and complete 80 hours of core competency education within six months of your registration date, as mandated by Title 9 regulations and HSC §11833 (b)
