Honestly, and I say this from experience… just get the minivan, and have a “cooler” car suv you daily and can use for date nights and what have you I’m in the reverse situation as you, where I would prefer the family car to be a minivan, but my wife wanted a 3 row SUV

The XC90 is just the best looking, super comfy interior and above all it’s super quiet The insulation makes it such a refined quiet driving experience, add in a proper sound system and it’s the best for longer rides And in my biased opinion the best in class when it comes down to build quality, leaving the germans far far behind

Can't beat a Toyota Sienna for road trips 3 row SUVs simply cant fit 6 7 people's worth of cargo in their trunks without a roof rack or trailer Sienna, you definitely can 3rd row for passengers is also way more comfortable Reputation is unbeatable New Siennas are hybrid as well saving tons of money on gas

Interior is pretty nice too The 2nd row will fit a skinny adult with 2 car seats as long as your car seats are not ginormous It won't be very comfortable The 3rd row is pretty small and getting back there is a pain and trunk space is non-existent with the third row up If you're going to regularly use a 3rd row, get a minivan
