Could it be, that 2020 12 (Windows 64bit) is missing the meshlabserver exe? Or do I miss something? I already reinstalled MeshLab but still no server to be found
- MeshLab: Export to u3d does not work if model has texture
New day, fresh start and I found a solution! So here is my answer in case anyone has the same problem: I first baked the texture into vertex colours, before exporting to u3d Filters > Texture > Transfer Texture to Vertex Colors In doing this the export proceeded swiftly

How to remove self-intersection of a mesh with the Meshlab application or vcglib?
- Meshlab: How do I extract x,y,z coordinates of points?
I'm new to meshlab, so my question is probably very basic: I have a ply file of a 3D image I want to get the xyz-coordinates of certain points of this image How do I do that? Thanks!
- 3d - Mesh from point clouds in Meshlab - Stack Overflow
I need to reconstruct a surface mesh of a terrain from a dense point cloud Is it possible to generate polygonal meshes from point clouds in Meshlab?
- How does Meshlab actually do edge decimation - Stack Overflow
2 When using meshlab, if one selects the decimation operation a textbox opens up saying: Simplify a mesh using a quadric based edge-collapse strategy A variant of the well known Garland and Heckbert simplification algorithm with different weighting schemes to better cope with aspect ration and planar degenerate quadrics areas
- How do you import a text point cloud in MeshLab?
Open it in Meshlab The picture below is a printscreen showing the points you provided (note that I have made them bigger by selecting "Render > Show Vertex Dots" and by increasing the point size in the menu available after pressing the "Show Layer Dialog")
