I don't think mytaxIllinois ever supported filing returns containing credits for taxes paid to another state The reason is that the state requires you to file a copy of your tax return from the other state together with your Illinois tax form

There's a tab for "withholding information" I clicked Yes for " Did you have Illinois Tax withheld via W-2, W-2G, 1099-G, 1099-INT, and or 1099-R or did you have a military W-2? " but there are no boxes to enter W2 state tax info How did others do it? I remember in previous years, I had to enter individual W-2 info but there are no tabs like that this year

However, when I went to do my state taxes for Illinois through mytax illinois gov, every option to start the filing process failed; I couldn't even get a Letter ID sent I am now 90% certain, after looking at the Illinois 1040 and finding it completely unfamiliar, this is because I never filed state taxes
