Once upon a time KTLA,WPIX,WOR,WSBK,KWGN, and WGN were also availiable to those of us in the 80's and 90's via C Band satellite To this day DishNet has been the only one to carry these as a superstation package just like we used to get on Cband Thats how alot of people on the outside know of these channels

The Definition of Superstation (BY the FCC) only allows all of the current Stations as True Superstations, WPIX, WWOR, WSBK, KWGN, and KTLA carried by DBS nationwide

Just had a 5 LNB dish and HD DVR installed replacing DirecTivo HD - everything is much improved except I now get frequent audio dropouts and occasional picture glitches only on KTLA 5 Los Angeles Anyone else seeing hearing this? Jeff

KTLA-DT is not a Superstation You hit it right on the head There is no statutory copyright exemption to retransmit it Who knows, you might actually be able to receive it in a market where the WB owns the local affiliate, Is your market one of those? Some incorrect statements above Essentially the superstation pack is a WB UPN pak

Hey all, I am wondering if anyone knows what happened to the superstations on Dish Network I just noticed that all the superstations are gone, including KTLA, KWGN, WPIX, WWOR, and WSBK were no longer on my channel list Thanks

This may be because we now get the local Medford, OR CW affiliate (Southern Oregon's The CW) on Channel 11 on Dish Network

In Los Angeles,KAZA Channel 54 has become the new Me-TV affiliate taking over for one of KDOC Channel 56’s sub channels even though they’re still showing it for now KVME will become a Heroes and Icons affiliate on January 15 KJLA,meanwhile,has taken Azteca America away from KAZA And,even though there’s no air date scheduled,KTLA will add Sinclair’s TBD to their digital lineup
