The Amtrak twitter account says they extended the drop-off time for today's northbound train until 5 p m , but the southbound train didn't get there until 6:30 Do they have anyplace to hold all those vehicles for the next train, or does everybody sit in a line waiting to get in? Amtrak did just ship a Cascades Amfleet coach east from Seattle on the Empire Builder, but I don't know if it was going to stop in Chicago or continue east At least we're having one of our mildest winter in years out here, 60 degrees for a high today in the Seattle area, almost unheard of in February Click to expand

Amtrak certainly needs more equipment just to add more revenue cars to present trains IMO the way to expand present trains and add more train is for Congress to appropriate capital funds for new equipment and more capital funds to rebuild the present SLs and Amfleets
