- FreeStyle Libre: safety notice issued as injuries linked to . . .
A subset of FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus sensors can give falsely low glucose readings Only specific Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus sensors are affected Abbott, the manufacturer of FreeStyle Libre, has issued an urgent safety notice for some FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors
- Freestyle libre sensors | Diabetes Forum
Libre doesn't read blood glucose it uses relationship with the interstitial fluid and lags behind You should carry finger pricker with you regardless if cgm or not Instructions clearly state not to rely on it for medical decisions and should check via blood glucose highs and lows
- Libre2 versus finger prick readings vastly different. - Diabetes
I'm fairly new to constant glucose monitoring having used the Libre2 system for a few months However I find there is a massive difference between it's reading and finger prick tests Does anyone else get this? I'm using a Glucofix Tech GK finger prick tester which always reads well above the
- Libre Sensor 2 - PLEASE BE CAREFUL - Recent Issues - Diabetes
The Libre has been a huge help for me in achieving better control, but I never fully trust it, and strongly disagree about the advice that finger prick checks are unnecessary I've had some sensors that give crazy false low readings in the first day or 2 then settle down, others that work fine then start getting slightly less accurate towards the last few days, some that stay consistently
- Libre 2 Plus - Worsening variation between sensor readings . . . - Diabetes
Libre 2 Plus - Worsening variation between sensor readings and glucose meter readings after around 8 days
- Freestyle libre | Diabetes Forum
My Libre values are always lower than my finger prick figures, even given Libra's lag in glucose readings, but only around the 'normal range' Outside of that range the accuracy of the Libre diminishes Interestingly, my finger prick device's readings were lower than the pharmacy device when I asked them to compare my device with theirs
- Libre 2 plus | Diabetes Forum
Libre 2 and Libre 2 Plus are exactly the same size It is Libre 3 that's smaller and while I have seen it available via some online pharmacies, I can't afford it as it is more expensive The fingerprick test and Libre CGM don't measure the same things, so I don't expect to have exactly the same reading
- You may be able to reapply a libre sensor after it falls off
My guess Is the Libre was already activated probably took the 20 minutes to chop sense into interstitial readings after the ordeal of dropping off? I’d have to admit I’d write off the sensor if it came off I have had a couple come a little loose But I just keep an eye on the situation along with more meter back up One thing puzzles me
- Frequent loss of signal, libre2 on android | Diabetes Forum
Before libre2 was updated to give continuous readings I'd turned off the signal-loss alarm because it triggered erratically With the update for continuous readingds that alarm is force-enabled I was getting a lot of those alarms, eventually figured my phone was not up to the job (7 years
- Advice regarding discrepancies between Libre 2 sensor readings and . . .
The official Libre 2 app and sensor together detect 'outlier' data points and delete them from the graph and so give a fairly consistent indicator of past trends Not accurate exactly, but consistent
