Not everybody needs their ccwgtv to be connected to ethernet, the wifi connection is pretty good My ccwgtv is smooth too, also no hiccups and in the Google Home app there is also a remote built in The ccwgtv isn't a "perfect" device by far, but I don't see the value in paying THAT much more for AppleTV
