- Balancing grades ISO 1940 vs API 610 - Eng-Tips
please explain the relationship between ISO balance grades and grades specified in API 610 (such as 4W N,4W N etc W - mass of rotor, N- RPM) In API 610 it mentioned as a note that 4W N is equivalent to ISO 1940 Gr 1 0 Also that the grades mentioned in API are mid values of the range of the
- ISO 1940 1 - Balance Requirements for Rotors, How to balance . . . - Eng-Tips
I consider ISO 1940 as a guideline, so I would be careful requiring someone to meet it, or for me to be bound to meet it when the rotor characteristics (dimensions and speed) are unusual Rather than making calculations (question 1) I would spin up the subassembly to test and correct balance, and then rub the full assembly
- Relationship between ISO 1940 and AGMA 9000 cl 9 balance grades
This is regarding required balance grade for couplings Please explain the relationship between ISO 1940 and AGMA 9000 balance grades In case ISO balance grade (say 6 3) and AGMA 9000 balance grade (Cl 9) both are specified, which one is stringent
- Slow (145RPM) balance specifications | Eng-Tips
True But in the applications listed in the ISO 1940 charts this application comes closer to ISO G16 than the crankshaft of a steam propelled frigate I have been balancing on Schenck Cab 690 on a frame 5HB machine since 1993 full time for a large jobbing shop
- ISO1940 Standards and high RPMs | Eng-Tips
Do you have a copy of ISO 1940-1 and -2 ? The limitations of repeatability, and the complications of actually achieving finer grades (balancing in service bearings and more) are there for a reason, and are sometimes overlooked by the engineer dictating the notes for the drawing and purchase order
- ISO equivalent of DIN 1940 | Eng-Tips
I am a translator and I'm looking for the equivalent of the standard DIN 1940 into the ISO standards Thank you in advance
- Determination of Balancing Speed for Flexible Body | Eng-Tips
Some are specifically for "rigid" rotors and some are for "flexible" rotors 2140-1 - "to give guidance on the usage of the other parts of the ISO 21940 series" 1940-2:2017 defines terms on balancing 21940-11:2016 establishes procedures and unbalance tolerances for balancing rotors with rigid behaviour 21940-12:2016
- How to balance a pump impeller? | Eng-Tips
Although you should dynamically balance an impeller to ISO 1940 standards (level depends on speed, size, sensitivity, etc), you might buy a static balancer for cheap and manually grind off the heavy spot It isn't very accurate, but that is the crude way
- Balance tolerances | Eng-Tips
Hi guys, Just want to clarify something I've been running single plane balancing of my small fan units and all is good Only thing I'm uncertain is the allowable tolerance of the imbalance I would like to use ISO 1940 as a guide If I choose G2 5 as my standard, how can I use the "UCW"
- AGMA 9000 Coupling | Eng-Tips
AGMA 9000 is balancing of flexible couplings only I suspect you can apply AGMA 9000 balancing methods to a rigid coupling assembly but I don't see why you wouldn't just keep it simple and apply ISO 1940 21940 to your rigid components
