This is a reminder that there are only TWO real websites to download OptiFine from, and that is: https: optifine net, and https: optifined net (yes, that second one is real it's just not kept up-to-date) There are many websites that attempt to copy the OptiFine website, or otherwise just plainly redistribute OptiFine illegally

Optifine doesn't improve fps much, people usually use optifine for the zoom in feature, also there is a fps editor thing in video settings, the default is VSync I think and you can make it unlimited, but I'm not sure that actually helps fps boosting _ It typically helps me if I make the fps unlimited

Optifine really isn't that great these days, if you just want optimisation use fabric and sodium, lithium, starlight and iris for shaders Unfortunately a lot of the interesting mods are on forge so we're stuck with this optifine rubbish

Don’t use OptiFine, use a modloader like Fabric with the Sodium mod, or a pre-set optimisation modpack like Fabulously Optimized that includes it
