They are serving the videos as a stream, segmenting the video files into separate requests The protocol is called HTTP Live Streaming It initially downloads the playlist file, chunks separate components of the video (fanning out into other playlist files) and then combines as it is delivered to the browser There's likely scripts or browser add-ons that you can use to download it or whatever
