A friend of mine is the guy that runs this CHP incident page He just (20 minutes ago) made a cool change- after selecting an incident (so you see details), you can now click on the Lat Lon coordinates and it will open a new tab with Google maps and a pin right at the incident location Try it out and post feedback- Browser, OS, phone, issue, etc ) he wants to make sure its working for everyone

The public CHP CAD does not list all the info that is actually on the log The system was created and operates to keep the media from calling and bugging the crap out of CHP, every time a chicken crosses the road- its a public notification tool about traffic impairments

The accident happened around 6:00 a m on southbound I-880 just under the Hwy 92 overcross, CHP said Police said the Harley-Davidson rider was splitting lanes when he hit a truck and was thrown from this bike He was then hit by the truck He died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene No one else was injured, CHP said
