- Use of tabu tabularx and threeparttable with apa6 - TeX
As tabularx was suggested as an alternative, it also produces a compilation error when used together with threeparttable and apa6 (but again not when using only the article class)

- tabularx and captions and notes - TeX - LaTeX Stack Exchange
2 The threeparttablex seems to work for me: in the following, I inserted the table notes inside the long table, and also at the end No problem for the caption either You have to write the table notes just after \begin{ThreePartTable} and to compile twice
- I want my table captions the same width as the tables
Look for the threeparttable package It provides the threeparttable environment, which automatically adjusts the caption width to match the tabular width indide it
- How to correctly wrap a tabularx inside a threeparttable?
You can define tabularx as part of another environment but you can not start it with one command and end it with another, you have to use an environment form Environments are a basic syntactic construct in latex and it is rarely a good idea to hide that syntax
- CTAN: Package threeparttable
Note that a threeparttable is not a float of itself; but you can place it in a table or a table* environment, if necessary Download the contents of this package in one zip archive (278 1k)
