- Taking Eliquis and Metoprolol for A-fib: Concerned about side effects
Just diagnosed Doctor prescribed Eliquis and Metoprolol I was wondering what side effects common I read there is a rare side effect of hair thinning for metoprolol (take 25 mg 2x day) Also read that Eliquis can sometimes cause some stomach discomfort (5 mg 2x day) Can either medications be taken in lesser amounts?

I have been on Eliquis for over 2 years following a blood clot in my leg My PCP says I need to stay on it for the rest of my life I had venous ablation to resolve vein issues I also tested for the blood clotting gene and do not have it I'm fatigued and weak since on Eliquis Is is safe to stop taking Eliquis and instead opt for baby asprin?

I’ve been on Eliquis since 2019 for second incidence of bi-lateral lung clots I’ve asked pcp to reduce to 2 5 mg twice per day from 5 0 mg twice per day Just wondering if anyone has reduced their dosage and pros cons of doing so

Eliquis is normally prescribed as a preventative at 5mg am pm tablet Now can it be used to slowly break up a blood clot in your arm ? I would think there are better alternatives than Eliquis
