My new R has Discover Pro but it came without an SD card I know the Nav SW is stored on the internal drive The dealer has told me you can use any SD card to update the Maps on the Pro, unlike the standard Discover Nav which needs the original VW SD card - is this correct??

Discover care will download the latest maps available for your particular head unit and region Do you and Roberth have the same system (MIB1 MIB2 Discover Discover Pro)? I was doing the VW update method straight onto the SD card for the Pro version but then VW always rolls that out after the traditional method of doing it On that basis I stopped using the DiscoveryCare approach You had to update the software for each round of map releases which was pretty stupid The household has the Seat flavour of Discover Media and Pro, same generic files Had my Seat
