My device is connected to the computer, and both the Simultaneous RFID reader and the Sparkfun serial basic break out are soldered together at the 6 serial pins The serial basic breakout blinks both green and red and the simultaneous RFID reader blinks red when connected to the computer
- Help me with a Purchase decision: the RTK rover - SparkFun Electronics . . .
I am replying to a comment, quoted below I too am a rank amateur, having virtually no experience with these sparkfun forums A few months ago, I purchased a kit for a Sparkfun survey-gradeZED-F9P GPS device, for about $575, through Amazon I am extremely satisfied with this

- Struggling with Garmin LIDARlite-v4 - SparkFun Electronics Forum
Watched the Sparkfun video with the Artemis hookup and bought an Artemis to test with I'm just trying to start with the Example1-GetDistance code I can get the "LIDAR acknowledged" serial print with SDA, SCL, GPIOB (6) on pin3, GPIOA (5) on pin2 This is the hookup from the Garmin library file and example code
- Zed f9P external led lights - SparkFun Electronics Forum
The datasheet for the ZED-F9P says "DC current through any digital I O pin (except supplies): 5mA" The on-board LEDs will be drawing approx 1-2mA You should be OK, so long as your external LEDs draw 1-2mA maximum I would recommend using a 1k (1000 Ohm) resistor to limit the current Best wishes, Paul

- Artemis Global Tracker - SparkFun Electronics Forum
Hello @marco bernardini, The Artemis Global Tracker uses the Iridium 9603N modem which is only capable of Short Burst Data (SBD) transfers It is not like the other Iridium modems which support connected mode You would need to divide your 8K of data into 340 byte chunks and transfer them one at a time Best wishes, Paul
