0 Sorry if this is a stupid question, I tried to find this online but can’t see any answers When you use windows ‘reset this pc’ does it format the drive, and does it differ if you select the ‘clean the drive’ option?

If you reset your PC (windows reset), and you have a SSD, can anything be recovered? What difference does choosing the “clean the drive” option make in terms of recovery? Also, if you quickly turn off your pc after resetting, say a few minutes after, will this change anything?

If I do clean Windows 11 install with local or (my) Microsoft account, install drivers from the website and then "Reset this PC" will installed drivers survive? EDIT: This is one-off thing, I know I can extract those drivers and bake them in install media but I feel doing it as I described above is less effort in my situation

If you search for 'reset pc', then you won't find a single answer, that will not explain you how to reset your windows installation to factory defaults, thus removing all installed applications

Questions: When doing a "Reset this PC" (using either "Keep my files" or "Remove Everything") on the system drive only, what is really kept or removed? Will user profiles on another drive be wiped? (I assume it will be untouched for both cases?) Will apps on other drives be wiped like the ones on the system drive? (I think not?
